The thing that you have to do is make sure you ask the framing shop for examples of their work. Look for perfect 45 degree angles in the corners with absolutely no gap. In addition, look at the matting within the frame to ensure that there are no dust specs from when they cut the matting. This is a usually mistake that new framers make. If you have multiple pictures to be framed, do not be afraid to let them know that you are looking for a bulk discount. Make sure to show each of the framing shops the other's quote. Also, make sure that you go back to each frame shop after you have quotes from all the rest. It is a little time consuming, but it can save you hundreds of dollars. Framing shops are looking for your business and are willing to take a little less profit to keep your business.
