| Customer Reviews: Great ideas for a wide variety of kitchen (and budget) sizes January 16, 2008 Charlene Vickers (Winnipeg, Manitoba) 32 out of 32 found this review helpful
Too often, books on home decorating or renovating assume the reader has an unlimited budget and a very large house. Beth Veillette's "Kitchen Ideas that Work" doesn't fall into this trap. Her renovation and decorating ideas are as accessible to homeowners with small kitchens (and budgets) as they are to those with huge rooms to fill.
I especially appreciated Veillette's ideas with respect to inexpensive conveniences (such as using a hand soap dispenser over a corner of the sink to dispense dish detergent - what a brilliant idea!) that could be built into a kitchen, and her suggestions regarding types of countertop, shelving, and even appliances.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone seriously considering updating an older or less convenient kitchen.
Great book for any kitchen project July 10, 2007 H 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
This is a great book! It has tips, and design ideas for all tastes. It covers everything from trim, islands, stoves, floors, sinks, backsplash, basically everything and a lot of custom ideas too.
Great stuff!
